Date/Time: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15TH, 1:15PM TO 3:50PM
Where: Riley St. Studio, Level 1, 259 Riley St., Surry Hills, Sydney
Project: The BARD Project: Richard the Second by William Shakespeare
Audition Brief
*Experienced actors for scene & monologue work from Richard the Second.
*Theatre acting experience required.
*Experienced with Shakespeare text recommended.
*Actors receive a stipend for both days.
Workshop dates: Saturday, April 11th & Sunday, April 12th, 2026, 9:00am to 4pm
1 50-something experienced actor, male/female, for scene & monologue work.
1 40-something experienced actor, male/female, for scene & monologue work.
1 20-something experienced actor, male/female, for scene & monologue work.
Audition requirement
Required: Prepare 1 Shakespeare Monologue, no longer than 4 minutes.
Recommended: Prepare 1 Contemporary Monologue, [for potential re-call on the day]

Meet the Actors Ensemble & Fight Director, Blake Wells
Visit 2024 via the Menu
stories about humans theatre company is delighted to welcome Blake Wells as fight director for the BARD PROJECT combat development workshop. Blake trained under Australia's pre-eminent world renowned Fight Master, Kyle Rowling.
Blake graduated in 2003 from the Actors College of Theatre & Film. He is a certified Fight Director who has taught at many of Sydney's top acting schools, and has been fight director on numerous TV and film projects and Opera Australia.
Currently, Blake is head teacher at Action Acting Academy, is Vice President of the Australian Stage Combat Association, and a member of the Art of Combat International.
